An Open Audio Archive

Every spoken‑word recording we hold, indexed so you find what you want in seconds.

184,000 titles across 84 languages. Audiobooks, lectures, sermons, podcasts, poetry, and drama — sorted by narrator, runtime, year, and license so the commute, the sermon you missed, or the lecture you keep hearing about is one click away.

Section II · Global & Human

84 languages. Every narrator indexed.

The archive is not a single accent flattened to one tongue. Two discovery paths are unique to MP3Slovo: browse by the language you actually listen in, or follow a single named voice across the catalog. Both are first-class indexes, not afterthoughts.

By Language

84 languages, 31 of them rare elsewhere.

Czech, Yoruba, Swahili, Icelandic, Quechua, Georgian, Welsh, Tagalog, Khmer — 31 languages represented here have fewer than 5,000 active audiobook titles anywhere else online. Search by ISO code, by family, or by region. Subtitles and full-text transcripts are linked where available.

By Narrator

Follow a voice across 184,000 titles.

Some listeners choose a book for its reader. Each narrator has a profile page listing everything we hold in their voice — Simon Vance, LibriVox volunteers, BBC archive readers, contemporary podcast hosts, and 14,000+ others. Filter by gender, accent, decade, or pace.

Section III · The Curators

47 named editors. Not an algorithm dump.

Every title in the archive has been looked at by a person. The catalog is run by 47 named literary editors — including a Nobel-shortlisted fiction editor, two former BBC Radio producers, and a Jesuit-trained homiletics reviewer — working across six countries. They write the listening notes, flag misattributed uploads, deprecate files that fail our playback audit, and publish weekly themed collections.

"Curated" here means a real standard. We retire recordings with clipped audio, missing metadata, or chapters out of order. We index narrators we can verify. We label anything rights-holder-submitted, public-domain, or Creative Commons — and we keep that label visible on every title card. Nothing in this archive is "loose on a server."

Our editorial team also writes the long-form essays in the Editors column — season-end reading recommendations, sermon retrospectives, lectures worth a second listen — and produces the seasonal anthology that ships as a free podcast feed every March and September.
